Girls’ Divorce Case Adjourned Indefinitely

As of Tuesday, September 2, the Shariah Court adjourned the case of two minors, Sheikha and Abeer, who are seeking divorce from their septuagenarian husbands.  The judge ruled to adjourn after the husbands did not show, but he ordered a police case against the men.

Sheikha’s father married her to Abeer’s father in exchange for marriage to Abeer.  The mothers moved the court on the grounds that the marriage contracts were signed without the girls’ consent and exchange marriage in Islam is not allowed.

Why in the world would it be adjourned instead of granted.

Girls should trust their husbands but they don”t do this that’s why husbands don’t like suspicious habits…
