Falling out of Love and into Major Expenses

Who said love was cheap? At least for Phil Collins it isn’t; he will be parting with $46.76 million after divorcing his former wife, Orianne Cevey. The agreement tops Britain’s celebrity divorce settlements, easily surpassing what Paul McCartney gave Heather Mills by $2 million.

Collins, 57, and Cevey, 35, met in 1994 on tour while she was working as a translator. The couple was married for six years and have two children together - Nicolas, 8, and Matthew, 4.

This is Collins third pricey divorce, which has cost him a total of $84 million, roughly a third of his $280 million fortune, according to the Daily Telegraph. Collins gave his second wife, Jill Tavelman, $34 million after breaking up with her via fax in 1994. He ended the relationship with his first wife, Andrea Bertorelli, in 1979.
