Los Angeles Mayor’s Wife Files for Divorce Again

Corina Villaraigosa, wife of the mayor of Los Angeles, California, has filed for divorce for the second time. The mayor refused to answer questions about Corina’s filing, but had earlier taken responsibility for their separation after 20 years of marriage.

Ms. Villaraigosa’s petition for divorce cited “irreconcilable differences,” the legal minimum for divorce in California. Deputy Mayor Sean Clegg said the mayor agrees with his wife that it’s the right moment to “start focusing on the future and their shared responsibilities as parents.”

The couple has two children, 14-year-old Natalia Fe and 18-year-old Antonio Jr.. Antonio is headed to Princeton University in the fall and Natalia Fe will continue attending high school in Los Angeles.
